Student Programs

The Student Program is designed exclusively for Interior Design and Architecture students.  Stop by and gain real-world exposure to the professional world of design through activities that bring you up close and personal with the industry’s top manufacturers and designers. Students may also visit the Exhibits on the 7th Floor, in addition to visiting the Showrooms on Floors 1, 3, 6, 10, 11, 14, 15 & 16. Click here to register as a Student.

IIDA STUDENT DESIGN CHARETTE

School nominated IIDA Student Members from around the country will compete live, onsite for this annual design competition that takes place during NeoCon. Students have less than six hours to develop a design solution, develop a presentation, and pitch their concept to a panel of esteemed judges. NeoCon attendees are encouraged to observe the students during the creative and presentation process. Final presentations will take place at 3:00 p.m on Tuesday, June 14th with winners announced at the winner’s reception on Wednesday, June 15th offsite.

Beyond the Degree: How to Build a Strong Foundation for Your Interior Design Career
You’ve earned your bachelor’s degree and want to hit the ground running when it comes to your interior design career. But building a career in the design industry takes more than a piece of paper, so what else do you need to make sure your first year out of school is a success? More importantly, what’s not necessary? Learn from a panel of professionals the advice they would give their younger selves—from what firms are looking for in entry-level designers and the trends that are driving industry hiring practices to how to score internships, build meaningful relationships with mentors, and wow potential employers with a resume and portfolio that will stand out from the crowd.
