CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL CREDITS

Details

All 60-minute seminars are being reviewed for continuing education accreditation. To receive credit for the seminar you attend, pick up the CEU, LU or materials from the Door Monitor who is located at the seminar room. Follow the instructions on each card as to what you must do to comply. Below are the various certifications and procedures for industry experts. Be sure you pick up the correct paper work for your profession.

Interior Designers

Learn and earn 0.1 CEU for each NeoCon seminar that you attend. All NeoCon® 2016, one-hour seminars are being processed by IDCEC (ASID, IDC and IIDA) for CEU credit. CEU cards and instructions are available on-site at each seminar room.

Architects

Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI) is an “AIA Registered Provider.” Each of the NeoCon® 2016 one-hour seminars are being processed and upon approval result in 1 Learning Unit (LU) . Most seminars will meet Health, Safety and Welfare guidelines and can be identified by the [HSW] acronym in the seminar description. Conference Attendance Forms are available on-site at each seminar room.

LEED Professionals

Many seminars under the Environmental [ENV] Educational Track may qualify for GBCI Hours towards the LEED Credential Maintenance Program. Proof of attendance will be provided on-site for attendees to self report.

Lighting Designers

All lighting programs presented under the Light [LT] Educational Track will be registered with NCQLP for LEU Credit for the Lighting Certified (LC) professional. One LEU is assigned for each 60 minute lighting program you attend. Certificates are available on-site at each seminar room.

Healthcare Designers

Seminars under the Healthcare (HC) Educational Track are under consideration for EDAC CEU credit. Upon approval, the EDAC CEU form for seminars will be available at each seminar room from the Door Monitor.

Is there a fee to attend a seminar?

Answer

Yes, all seminars are $55 each if you pre-register before Monday, June 10. After June 10 you must register for all seminars on-site, subject to availability, at a fee of $65 each. Association Events, Tours and Workshops vary in fees.

Can I get continuing education credits for attending seminars?

Answer

Yes, MMPI submits all 60-minute seminars for continuing education accreditation. To receive credit for sessions you attend, pick up a CEU or LU card from the door monitor located at each seminar room. Read and follow the instructions on each card to report the sessions you attended. Be sure you pick up the correct paperwork for your profession. For more information, click here.

How do I register for seminars?

Answer

Click 'Register' on the top right side of the NeoCon web page. This button will take you to the registration site where a listing of seminar titles and session codes can be chosen to add to your shopping cart.

  • Select the seminar(s) that you would like to attend
  • Further instructions will be provided to complete your registration.
  • Upon completing registration a barcode will be provided.
  • Print the barcode and bring it to the show to receive your name badge on-site.

Your name badge will include the session codes, room locations, date and time of the seminars that you have registered to attend. This will serve as confirmation for admission to the seminar.

How do I find the location for the seminars, exhibitors and other events?

Answer

Locations will be listed in the official NeoCon Show Directory produced by Interior Design Magazine. Additionally, the session room location will be indicated on your show badge. Show directories will be available at numerous locations on-site at the show including the registration area and the elevator banks.

Can I cancel my program if I cannot attend?

Answer

Yes, cancellations will be refunded in full if received in writing by June 3. Refunds will not be given after June 3 or on-site. Sessions are not transferable between attendees. All cancellation requests should be emailed to Wendy Confrey at wconfrey@themart.com

If I register for a seminar or keynote, do I have to register separately for the trade show floor?

Answer

No, your seminar registration badge will provide access to the show rooms and trade floors.
